Undersung follows four caregivers of severely disabled children: Ramona in Seattle, caring for her non-verbal autistic son Melvin; Craig in Boston, looking after his wheelchair-bound, non-verbal daughter Hannah; Claire in Ottawa, with her daughter Sophie, who lost much of her function after a childhood stroke; and Marina in New Jersey, caring for her son Gregory, now on life support after losing the ability to walk and talk. Through these devoted yet often overlooked caregivers, Undersung highlights how deeply limiting disabilities can foster profoundly moving human connections.
