Larsen (projection designer)
Adam Larsen is a N.Y. based artist, projection designer and filmmaker. Projection designs include: Hal Prince’s LoveMusik (Broadway); The Gospel at Colonus (Herod Atticus, Athens); world premieres of The Women of Brewster Place (Alliance/Arena Stage) and Christmas Carol 1941 (Arena Stage), dir. Molly Smith; Light in the Piazza (Arena Stage); Brief Encounters (Shaw Festival), dir. Jackie Maxwell; 26 Miles (Alliance); big, Atlanta Ballet and Big Boi from OutKast; Carmina Burana (Alberta Ballet); From the House of the Dead (Canadian Opera); Lily Plants a Garden (Mark Taper); Haydn’s The Creation and Gorecki’s Symphony No. 3 (Atlanta S. O.); Quartet (Aspen Santa Fe Ballet); Seed (Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet); Black Whole (Black Mountain College Museum & Arts Center and Moog Music); The French Lieutenant’s Woman, world premiere (Fulton Opera); and recently The Wind Up Bird Chronicle (Ohio Theater) and Love Lies Bleeding, a ballet based on the life of Elton John (Alberta Ballet). Adam holds a B.F.A. in cinematography from N.C. School of the Arts and is currently self-producing a feature documentary on autism entitled Neurotypical (www.neuro-typical.com).
